Shattuck Qualifies for Second Consecutive Paralympic Games
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Former Frostburg swimmer Zach Shattuck has earned his second-straight trip to the Paralympic Games after qualifying through the US Paralympic Team Trials.
He is one of 12 men to have received a nomination on the team, which includes a mix of returning athletes from the 2020 Games and several making their debuts, while there are 21 selections on the women's side for 33 in total.
Shattuck has established himself as one of the country's top Paralympic swimmers over the last several years, having qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Games and most recently having won a bronze medal at the Parapan-American Games this past Winter in Chile. His journey with the US Paralympic Team began in 2015, where he won his first medal at the Parapan-American Games, as he also went on to set new American records in the 200- and 400-IM throughout his career.
The 2024 Paralympic Games will be held in Paris, France from August 28 through September 8, as more information can be found here.
