Weakley Takes MEC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. – Sophomore Emilee Weakley was named MEC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, for her dominate performances in Frostburg's two wins this past week. This award was announced on Monday by the league office and is presented by The Health Plan.
FSU currently holds a five-game win streak, having defeated Notre Dame College Wednesday on the road, and coming home to take down Salem then on Saturday. Weakley led the Bobcats in scoring both games, putting up a double-double in Frostburg's 80-67 win over the Falcons, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Weakley then went on to score 36 points on 10-for-19 shooting and 14-for-16 from the free throw line in FSU's 72-63 victory over the Tigers, while also pulling down seven rebounds and collecting six steals.
