104 Student-Athletes Receive Fall 2024 MEC Academic Honors
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference released their Academic All-MEC Team and Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2024 Fall semester on Friday afternoon, with Frostburg State seeing 104 total athletes being honored.
MEC student-athletes qualified for the Academic All-MEC team by earning a 3.70 to 4.00 grade-point average during the Fall 2024 semester, as Frostburg saw 58 athletes on the All-MEC Team. FSU saw another 46 athletes earn a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, as those student-athletes earned a GPA between 3.25 to 3.69.
Football led the way in total athletes, seeing 39 overall, with 15 being named Academic All-MEC and 24 seeing the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Women's Soccer put the most athletes on the All-MEC Team with 20, placing six on the Commissioner's Honor Roll for 26 total. Volleyball had all 10 athletes on the Academic All-MEC Team, while Men's Soccer totaled 12 overall between the two. The Cross Country programs combined for 17 athletes total, 10 being represented on the men's side and seven being shown for the women's side.
