Softball Finishes Weekend with Split of Gannon and Slippery Rock
The Frostburg State Softball team split a pair of games on the road Sunday, as the Bobcats lost to Gannon 9-8 before beating Slippery Rock 6-3.
GLENVILLE, W. Va. - The Frostburg State Softball team split a pair of games on the road Sunday, as the Bobcats lost to Gannon 9-8 before beating Slippery Rock 6-3.
Frostburg faced off against Gannon in the first game of the day, as the Bobcats started senior Jamie Roberts in the circle. Roberts would have a solid first inning, striking out two for a short first at-bat for Gannon. FSU got on the board first when junior Hanna Binek crossed the plate after getting on base with a single. The Bobcats added their second run in the third inning on a RBI double from sophomore Olivia Stetler that would score junior Samara Funk, who was walked.
