BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Senior Emilee Weakley earned the first MEC Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week honor to start the season, as the award is presented by The Health Plan and was announced by the league office on Monday.

Weakley led Frostburg to a 2-0 start to the season, with huge comeback wins over Winston-Salem State and Pitt-Johnstown in the team's home opening weekend.  Weakley put up her first double-double in the first game of the season, snagging 24 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the Bobcat's 66-63 victory over WSSU.  Against UPJ, Weakley secured another double-double, dropping 31 points on 9-for-18 shooting and 12-for-14 from the free throw line, while also pulling down 10 rebounds.
