Both Men's and Women's Track & Field Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their 2024 NCAA Division II Track & Field Academic Awards on Monday.
With having to earn a 3.00 GPA or above, both Frostburg State Track & Field programs earned the honor, with the men's team posting a 3.06 team GPA, and the women coming in with a 3.08 team GPA, both under Head Coach Shane Brookshire.
In addition, junior Tom McCoy was named an All-Academic Athlete by the USTFCCCA, being the first FSU Track & Field athlete to do so since joining Division II. After setting the school record in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault, while also becoming an MEC Indoor and Outdoor Pole Vault Champion, McCoy sits with a 3.34 GPA in the Art & Design major.
