King, Reynolds Pick Up Victories in Men's Swimming Loss to Senators

The Frostburg State Men's Swimming team fell 149-110 to Davis & Elkins on the road Saturday afternoon.

ELKINS, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Men's Swimming team fell 149-110 to Davis & Elkins on the road Saturday afternoon.
 
Junior Dylan King picked up the first Bobcat win of the day in the 200-yard fly at 2:01.19 before winning the 100 fly at 53.59, just ahead of classmate Tory Reynolds (54.35). Reynolds then earned a solo victory himself in the 50-yard free at 22.58. He would later be part of the winning 200-yard free relay team, joining freshman Sean Filipovits, senior Andrew Wetherhold, and junior Josh Stokes in 1:29.30.
 
Filipovits also earned a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100- and 200-yard back at 54:48 and 2:08.87, respectively, while Wetherhold took second in the 100 free (50.40). Junior Jack Bond placed second in a pair of events during the 200- and 500-yard free at 1:57.12 and 5:15.31, respectively, as well as freshman Bliss Hays in the 1000 free (10:47.75).
 
With the loss, Frostburg drops to 0-2 on the year, while Davis & Elkins improves to 1-0. The Bobcats return home to face Fairmont State on Friday, October 24 at 5 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
