Allen, Spadoni Earn First-Ever NIRA Selections for Women's Rugby
FROSTBURG, Md. – The National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) announced their All-NIRA Selections for all divisions on Friday afternoon, with freshmen Natalie Allen and Scout Spadoni earning the first-ever honors for Frostburg State Women's Rugby.
Allen was named to the NIRA Division II First-Team, while Spadoni received NIRA DII Honorable Mention.
Spadoni and Allen finished in the top-two of most statistical categories for Frostburg, carrying the team to a 5-4 record and their first-ever appearance in the NIRA playoffs. Allen led the team in tackles and tackle completion, while Spadoni was second on the squad in tackle completion and third in total tackles. Both Allen and Spadoni had over five runs of 20 meters, while the latter led the team in points scored.
