Men's and Women's Tennis Teams Named ITA All-Academic
FROSTBURG, Md. - The ITA announced individual and team academic honors for the 2023-24 season, of which both Frostburg State squads qualified for the team awards, while 14 total players received the Scholar Athlete Award.
On the men's side, FSU was one of 78 Division II programs to be named an All-Academic Team, of which the team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above. Additionally, nine players were named Scholar Athletes, where they must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, with Cole Alcala, Del Carden, German Diaz, Jason Haley, Matt Bolen, Nate Burkhardt, Noah Fisher, Peter Barun, and Viktor Boban all recognized.
The women were part of 112 programs honored with the Team award, as Alyssa Kush, Ella Troxell, Lauren Ceballos, Patricia Castejon, and Sydney Goering were athletes that qualified as individual scholars.
