McDonald, Holcomb, Bernier Earn Victories for Women's Wrestling in Defeat of Saints
ARLINGTON, Va. – The Frostburg State women's wrestling team picked up a road dual win at Marymount by a team score of 28-20.
The first three weight classes all resulted in forfeits, with 103 going to MU and 110 and 117 to FSU before the opening contested match at the 124 weight class. Freshman Ella McDonald took her opponent down quickly before junior Bri Holcomb then picked up a 9-5 decision at 131 bout to bring the score to 18-6 Bobcats. The Saints earned their first competition win at 138 by pinfall, then would forfeit the 145 match. With the victory, the Bobcats move to 6-1 in duals, while the Saints fall to 3-7. The next competition for Frostburg will be at the Muhlenberg Novice Tournament on Sunday, December 7. For more information visit frostburgsports.com.
