BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Senior Emilee Weakley was announced MEC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, as the award was announced by the league office on Monday and is presented by The Health.
Weakley led Frostburg to an undefeated week with dominant wins over Salem and Point Park. Weakley dropped 32 points, shooting 12-for-17 from the field and 4-for-5 from three in the team's 90-47 win over the Tigers, while also pulling down six rebounds. Weakley then went for another 30-piece against the Pioneers, showing 36 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double, shooting 14-for-21 from the floor and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the Bobcat's 85-73 revenge win.
