Weakley, Sharp, Muha Receive All-MEC Honors

Frostburg State Women's Basketball had three players receive All-MEC Honors, as announced by the league office on Monday, in sophomore Emilee Weakley, graduate Maggie Sharp, and freshman Jenna Muha.

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Frostburg State Women's Basketball had three players receive All-MEC Honors, as announced by the league office on Monday, in sophomore Emilee Weakley, graduate Maggie Sharp, and freshman Jenna Muha. 
 
Weakley, also being named MEC Player of the Year, is coming off her second consecutive year leading the conference in points per game (25.4), as she sits at seventh in the league with 7 rebounds per game and is tied for first on the team in steals with 35.  Weakley also shot 47.5% from the field for sixth best in the MEC, 79.8% from the free throw line for fifth best in the conference, and 36.4% from three.
 
Sharp, an All-MEC Second Team honoree, averaged 11.9 points per game, leading the team and the conference in three-point percentage at 38.6%.  Sharp set Frostburg's single game record in three's made with eight, as well as setting the program's single season record for three pointers made at 80, as she sits at second in the league with three pointers made per game with 2.9.
 
Muha, in her first collegiate season, earned All-MEC Honorable Mention, going for 10.8 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game, leading FSU in rebounds as the fourth best in the league.  She also leads the team in field goal percentage at 49.8%, and free throw percentage with 85.1% for third best in the MEC. Defensively, she finished second on the team with 18 blocks and had 22 steals as well.
 
It is the first time that the team has had three all-conference selections since the program had four players recognized during the 2005-06 season.
