Women's Lacrosse Lands Six on MEC All-Conference Teams
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Frostburg State Women's Lacrosse team had six players named to the All-MEC First and Second Teams, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Junior Kerri Hayes earned a spot on the All-MEC First Team, providing plenty of offense for Frostburg during the regular season, with 28 goals off 64 shots and a .438 shooting percentage, while also putting up 14 ground balls, five caused turnovers, and 17 draw controls. Sophomore Jessie Bare was also named to the All-MEC First Team, racking up 26 caused turnovers, 31 ground balls, and 21 draw controls, while scoring a goal and dishing out three assists on the other end of the field as well.
Senior Camden DeMaio was selected to the All-MEC Second Team, going for 31 goals and 23 assists for 54 points during the regular season, with second most assists in the conference and sixth most points. Sophomore Isabelle Kelly was also selected as an All-MEC Second Team honoree, putting up 27 caused turnovers and 23 ground balls, for eighth most ground balls in the league. Junior Nicole Gray also received All-MEC Second Team honors, sitting at 108 saves on the year for third best in the league, a save percentage of .480%, the fourth best in the MEC, and a 9.87 goals against average, at second best in the conference.
Junior Megan Keller received All-MEC Honorable Mention, being a key piece to FSU's midfield throughout the season, causing 20 turnovers and scooping up 23 ground balls.
