Women's Swimming Takes First Losses of the Year to IUP, Clarion

The Frostburg State Women's Swim team lost each of their tri-meet matchups to IUP and Clarion on Saturday afternoon.

INDIANA, Pa. – The Frostburg State Women's Swim team lost each of their tri-meet matchups to IUP and Clarion on Saturday afternoon.
 
Junior Lydia Nebiolo began the individual events by picking up fourth in the 1000-yard freestyle at 11:07.38. She would also go on to take fifth in the 500-yard free at 5:28.76.
 
Fellow junior Kendall Hooper earned the Bobcats' first top-three finish on the day, swimming a 1:00.75 in the 100-yard butterfly. She would then join juniors Amaya Burke and Alexis Council and senior Liz Perry in finishing fourth in the 200-yard free relay with a time of 1:43.92, with just over one second separating them from second.
 
With the losses, Frostburg drops to 6-2 on the year and will return to action in the new year when they host Notre Dame (Ohio) on Saturday, January 13 at 1 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
