BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Junior Julia Ramos received MEC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, as the award was announced on Monday by the league office and is presented by The Health Plan.
In Frostburg's lone match of the week, Ramos won both of her singles and doubles matches, leading the Bobcats to a 5-2 road victory over Bloomsburg on Saturday. Ramos, alongside partner Lorena Pintar, took down the Huskies in their doubles match by final score of 6-3. To earn the singles point and conclude the day with two victories, Ramos went on to defeat her singles opponent by a 6-1, 6-4 score.
