INDIANA, Pa. – The Frostburg State Women's Tennis team began their 2025-26 campaign at the IUP Invitational on Sunday.
 
Junior Patricia Castejon had the top overall performance on the day, picking up a pair of wins for FSU. In singles play, she won a close 7-6 first set before settling into a 6-2 second for a sweep against her opponent from Salem (WV). She then paired with classmate Ella Troxell for a 7-5 win against the Tigers in doubles play. The pairing concluded their tournament with a 6-4 loss to a different SU doubles pair.
 
Also in doubles play, seniors Alyssa Kush and Julia Ramos paired in a narrow 7-5 loss to a Division I Delaware State team, then fell 6-3 against hosts IUP in their second match.
 
Frostburg will return to the court on Wednesday, September 17 for a 4 p.m. match at California (Pa.) Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
