Coffee with Robert Walicki

Saturday, October 5, 2024 10:00–11:00 AM
  • Location
Center for Literary Arts, 237, Lewis J. Ort Library
  • Description
Join the Center for Literary Arts for coffee and an informal reading and conversation with Robert Walicki.

Walicki's work has appeared in a number of journals including Fourth River, Uppagus, Vox Populi, and Chiron Review. He currently has two chapbooks published: A Room Full of Trees (Red Bird Chapbooks, 2014) and The Almost Sound of Snow Falling (Night Ballet Press, 2015), which was nominated to the 2016 New York Showcase of Books at The Poet's House in NY. His first full-length collection of poems is Black Angels (Six Gallery Press, 2019) and his latest book, Fountain, was just released from Main Street Rag Press.

This event is sponsored by the Allegany Arts Council, the City of Frostburg, and several offices at FSU, including the Office of the President, the Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social & Behavioral Sciences, and the Department of English and Foreign Languages and Literature.

The Center for Literary Arts is attached to the Lewis J. Ort Library on FSU's campus. Walk down the steps between the Lane Center and the main body of the library, pass through the double doors, and there we are. Parking lots are open to all in the evening or on Saturday mornings, no permit required.

Participants with mobility impairments may park behind the Lane Center with a hang tag/placard/note on your dashboard and approach the CLA from the side ramp. (This a fully-accessible path to the CLA and is a shorter distance to our front doors from other nearby handicapped-accessible parking spots.)
