Holler, Bauer, Schalick Earn D2CCA All-Region Recognition
MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The D2CCA All-Atlantic Region baseball teams and award winners were announced Monday, with Frostburg State having three players receiving honors.
Senior Pat Bauer and junior Jake Holler add on to their postseason accolades as First Team members, the same honors they received from NCBWA. Bauer was named the MEC Pitcher of the Year having won the conference triple crown in ERA (2.20), strikeouts (89), and wins (9). Holler led FSU with a .375 batting average, slugging .577 on 39 hits including 7 doubles, a triple, 4 home runs, 34 runs and 27 RBI.
Sophomore Jackson Schalick was named to the Second Team, marking his first-ever All-Region selection. He was a First Team All-MEC honoree, leading the Bobcats with 45 runs scored and the second-most hits at 52, batting .310 with 10 doubles and tying for the team lead with 8 homers while driving in 40 RBI. For the second consecutive season, Schalick led the team in walks (30), while also swiping 11 bags on the year.
