FROSTBURG, Md. – After a national search, Kyle Linhart has been named as the head strength and conditioning coach/fitness center coordinator for Frostburg State University as recently announced by the school’s athletic department. Linhart had served as the interim coach since early July.

Linhart has worked on the FSU strength and conditioning staff for the last two-and-a-half years. In July 2011, Linhart was promoted to interim strength and conditioning coach. In that role, he worked directly with football, men’s lacrosse, women’s soccer, and track and field, while overseeing the strength and conditioning programs for each of the other varsity teams.

“Linhart Quote” “I am very excited about the opportunity to continue serving Frostburg State University.  I really look forward to further developing the strength and conditioning program, and adding to such a rich athletic history.”
In 2009-10, Linhart became a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and served as the summer strength and conditioning intern at the United States Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California.

Linhart came to Frostburg after graduating from Kent State University in December 2008 with his bachelor’s degree in athletic training. In 2008, Linhart was an athletic training intern for the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, working with the team at the start of training camp through the conclusion of the season.

Linhart, a certified Athletic Trainer, is a member of the National Athletic Training Association, Organization of Athletic Training Students and NSCA.
