FSU Promotes Linhart to Head Strength Coach
FROSTBURG, Md. – After a national search, Kyle Linhart has been named as the head strength and conditioning coach/fitness center coordinator for Frostburg State University as recently announced by the school’s athletic department. Linhart had served as the interim coach since early July.
Linhart has worked on the FSU strength and conditioning staff for the last two-and-a-half years. He served as a graduate assistant for the first two years working with several teams including men’s lacrosse, women’s soccer and field hockey, while assisting with the daily operations of the fitness center.
In July 2011, Linhart was promoted to interim strength and conditioning coach. In that role, he worked directly with football, men’s lacrosse, women’s soccer, and track and field, while overseeing the strength and conditioning programs for each of the other varsity teams.

In 2009-10, Linhart became a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and served as the summer strength and conditioning intern at the United States Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California.
Linhart came to Frostburg after graduating from Kent State University in December 2008 with his bachelor’s degree in athletic training. Linhart served as a student athletic trainer for the Kent State baseball, football, wrestling, cross country and field hockey teams and served as a student athletic trainer for the Kent-Roosevelt High School hockey team.
In 2008, Linhart was an athletic training intern for the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, working with the team at the start of training camp through the conclusion of the season.
Linhart, a certified Athletic Trainer, is a member of the National Athletic Training Association, Organization of Athletic Training Students and NSCA.
