Gilford Earns NFCA Top Performer National Honor
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its Division II national players of the week, as Frostburg State senior Laura Gilford was selected as a top performer.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its Division II national players of the week, as Frostburg State senior Laura Gilford was selected as a top performer.
In FSU's first weekend of competition, Gilford hit 8-for-13 across five games for a .615 average. Of her eight hits, three were doubles and two were home runs, as she racked up 17 total bases, including seven runs scored and a pair of steals.
During the season opener against Catawba, she went a perfect 4-of-4 at the plate, hitting a pair of homers and a double, driving in three runs and scoring three as well.
