Five Earn Singles Wins in Women's Tennis Victory Over Catholic

The Frostburg State women's tennis team won on the road against Catholic 5-2 on Saturday.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Frostburg State women's tennis team won on the road against Catholic 5-2 on Saturday. 
 
The Cardinals took the doubles point in winning at Nos. 2 and 3, while seniors Julia Ramos and Alyssa Kush took the No. 1 match 6-2. 
 
Both Ramos and Kush carried their momentum into singles play, winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-0, respectively. Juniors Patricia Castejon (6-1, 6-0), Ella Troxell (6-1, 6-0) and Claudia Coombes (6-2, 6-1) all followed up with victories at Nos. 3-5 to take the meet 5-2. 
 
With the win, Frostburg improves to 1-2 on the year, while Catholic drops to 3-2.
