Fisher Clinches Narrow Men's Tennis Win Over Catholic

The Frostburg State men's tennis team won on the road against Catholic by a 4-3 final.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Frostburg State men's tennis team won on the road against Catholic by a 4-3 final. 
 
The Cardinals came out and swept the doubles matches, with seniors Cole Alcala and German Diaz coming closest in a 6-4 loss.

FSU responded in the singles matches, beginning with Alcala (6-0, 6-0) and Diaz (6-1, 6-1) taking dominant sweeps at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. Freshman Tiago Iser won the first set easily 6-1 and battled through the second to come out with the 7-6 victory. After the Cardinals took the five and six matches, senior Noah Fisher fell behind 4-6 at No. 4, but recovered to win the next set 6-4 and take the match into tiebreaks, where he secured a 10-7 decision to win the meet. 
 
FSU is now 3-0 on the year, while CU drops to 4-1.
