Crowe, Collins, Boards, Mastria Take Third in 4x400 on Final Day of MEC Indoor Champs
HUNTINGTON, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Women's Track & Field team placed eighth overall at the Mountain East Indoor Championships following the second and final day of events.
FSU's top event of the day came in the 4x400m relay, where the team of sophomores Bella Mastria and Lucy Crowe, junior Valerie Boards, and freshman Erin Collins took home Honorable Mention All-MEC honors with a 4:00.20 that stands as the third-fastest time in program history.
Boards added on a seventh-place finish in the 60m, tying her season-best time of 7.91, while Mastria took part in the high jump, earning 10th at 1.45m.
Frostburg will have one more attempt to set NCAA qualifying marks at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet on Friday, February 28 in Staten Island, NY. Information and updates will be posted at frostburgsports.com.
