Haney Repeats as MEC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT. W.Va. – With another 12-goal week, junior Neila Haney repeats as MEC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, as the award was announced on Monday by the league office and is presented by The Health Plan.
Haney has paved the way to Frostburg's dominant start to conference play, helping the Bobcats secure two more MEC victories this past week. FSU took down West Virginia Wesleyan 25-2 at home on Wednesday evening, where Haney led the team with seven points on six goals and an assist. She sent in 12 shots throughout the contest with nine being on goal, while also securing four draw controls. In the team's first-ever meeting with Wheeling on Saturday, Haney knotted another seven points off six goals and an assist in Frostburg's 21-6 victory, firing away all of her seven shots on goal, while also leading the team in ground balls with four.
