Relay Teams Impress for Women's Track & Field on Final Day of Championships
The Frostburg State Women's Track & Field team concluded their three-day MEC Championships in ninth place overall.
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Women's Track & Field team concluded their three-day MEC Championships in ninth place overall.
FSU's top performance of the final day of competition came in the 4x100m relay, where freshman Erin Collins, junior Valerie Boards, and sophomores Bella Mastria and Lucy Crowe placed fourth overall in 48.18. The same foursome would later place sixth in the 4x400m at 4:06.05.
In her pair of finals, Boards earned sixth overall in both the 100m (12.47) and the 200m (24.89), while Crowe matched her placing in the 400m (59.39).
A few Frostburg athletes will next compete at the WVU Open back in Morgantown on Saturday, May 3. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
