American Ballet Theatre Studio Company Class Observation

Does your soul need some rest? Come rest in the Lord! Gather with Catholic Campus Ministry and local parishioners to reflect on the mysteries of Christ's life while we pray the rosary. All FSU students, facult and staff are invited to Divine Mercy Parish, at Saint Michael Church, Wednesdays, 6-7 PM.

Clear Dat Canvas is a study hall event organized by members of Creative Minds, open to all FSU students. The event encourages students to come together and work on their assignments in a focused and supportive environment. The primary goal is to help students develop discipline, set meaningful academic goals, and complete their assignments ahead of time. By tackling their work early, students can reduce procrastination and free up time to focus on other things going on in their lives.

CES at FSU Presents American Ballet Theatre Studio CompanyThe Cultural Events Series at Frostburg State University will present American Ballet Theatre Studio Company on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Drama Theatre of FSU’s Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center. This engagement is sponsored by Dr. Julianne K. Ferris.ABT Studio Company, the junior company of American Ballet Theatre, is made up of rising stars of the ballet world between the ages of 17 and 21. The company prepares these outstanding young dancers, who hail from all over the globe, to enter American Ballet Theatre and other leading ballet companies worldwide. Nearly 80 percent of current American Ballet Theatre dancers are ABT Studio Company alumni, including eight soloists and 14 principal dancers – among them Misty Copeland, Isabella Boylston and Calvin Royal III.ABT Studio Company dancers perform masterworks of the classical and neoclassical canons alongside contemporary works. The group commissions a wide variety of choreographers to create new, custom ballets on the dancers each season, with a special focus on female choreographers.The highly mobile ABT Studio Company serves as an ambassador for American Ballet Theatre by touring to venues large and small. In recent years, the company has performed in such international cities as London, Athens, Manila, Hong Kong and St. Petersburg and at a wide variety of U.S. performing arts centers, college campuses, festivals and galas.Performance tickets are $45 for adults, $40.50 for FSU employees and members of the military, $35 for youth and free for FSU students.For more information, visit ces.frostburg.edu or call 301-687-3137.Community members can also register to observe the dancers in their daily class at noon on Nov. 6.
