Courtney Sechler, flute - Senior Recital

    Frostburg State University’s Department of Music will present student Courtney Sechler in her senior flute recital on Sunday, March 9, at 7 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center. She will be accompanied by pianist Dr. Joseph Yungen. The concert is free and open to the public. This event will also be livestreamed; the link will be posted at www.frostburg.edu/concerts.

    The program will include “Spiral Lament” by Ian Clarke; “Nocturne” by Lili Boulanger; “Poem” by Charles T. Griffes; “Piece” by Jacques Ibert; “Beverley” by Ian Clarke; “Yuhwa” by Adolphus Hailstork; and “Arabesque” by Alphonse Catherine.

    At FSU, Sechler studies under Dr. Brent Weber. She anticipates graduating in May 2025 with a bachelor’s in music. Sechler attended Frederick High School.
