Marauders Sweep Women's Tennis in Road Match
MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Frostburg State Women's Tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Millersville on the road Saturday.
In doubles play, senior Lorena Pintar and junior Alyssa Kush had to battle hard to earn a 7-6 victory at the No. 1 spot, though it would be FSU's only win of the day. MU took the No. 2 match 6-2 and received a forfeit at the three spot to take the meet point.
The Marauders took each singles match, four of them in straight sets, to earn the sweep. Pintar was able to force a third set in a 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 loss, while senior Femke Hofkamp also fought in a 5-7, 6-1, 10-4 match.
With the loss, Frostburg drops to 4-5, while Millersville improves to 6-5. The Bobcats return home to face West Liberty on Tuesday, April 1 at 3 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
