O'Neill Named to IWLCA Senior All-Star Game
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The IWLCA announced the 2024 roster for the Women's Lacrosse Senior All-Star Game, with Frostburg State graduate Maura O'Neill earning a spot in the event.
Every year the IWLCA celebrates the graduating class by hosting the Senior All-Star Weekend. This event is an opportunity for the best of the senior class to compete on the field with, and against, former rivals & teammates. This event is great way to say 'Thank You' to those players who have dedicated themselves to the betterment of women's collegiate lacrosse. O'Neill will compete in the Division II All-Star Game at 12 PM on Saturday, June 1 at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters located in Sparks, Md.
During her final season at Frostburg, O'Neill was named MEC Defensive Player of the Year while receiving All-MEC First Team honors as well. O'Neill put up solid numbers all across the board as a midfielder, going for 35 caused turnovers and 34 ground balls on the defensive end, while knotting 17 goals and 18 assists on the offensive end.
