BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced the league's volleyball preseason poll on Wednesday afternoon, with the Frostburg State Volleyball team coming in fourth in the North Division.

FSU came in fifth in the North Division a season ago, going for a 15-16 overall record and a 5-9 record in conference play.  The Bobcats faced the defending conference champions of Wheeling last year in the opening round of the league tournament, for Frostburg's first MEC tournament appearance since 2021.

Frostburg earned 23 total points in the poll, sliding into the fourth spot in the North, coming in between Fairmont State/West Liberty who are tied for second with 36 points, and new league member Point Park, who sits in fifth with 15 points.

Under Head Coach Peter Letourneau, who is new this season but returns to Frostburg having been at the helm of the program from 2005-10, FSU opens the 2024 season in the Warrior Invitational held in Detroit, Michigan, facing the hosts Wayne State on Friday, September 6 at 1 PM.  The Bobcats look to welcome in Concord on Friday, September 27 at 7 PM for their first conference match of the season.
