Volleyball Placed Fourth in North Division of MEC Preseason Poll

The Mountain East Conference released their 2025 Volleyball Preseason Poll on Monday afternoon to kick off the preparation for the fall season, placing Frostburg State fourth in the North Division.

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference released their 2025 Volleyball Preseason Poll on Monday afternoon to kick off the preparation for the fall season, placing Frostburg State fourth in the North Division.
 
Frostburg is coming off a 11-17 campaign last season going for 5-9 in conference play to finish them in fourth in the North, qualifying them for the MEC Tournament where they faced the 2025 champions of West Virginia State. 
 
The Bobcats hold 23 overall points in the poll as Wheeling sits at the top of the North with 49 points and nine first-place votes, while Fairmont State takes second with 37 points and one first-place vote with West Liberty coming in right behind them in third with 35 points and another first-place vote.  Looking at the South side, Charleston (WV) was predicted first with a total of 57 points and seven first-place votes, with WVSU in second with 49 and three first-place tallies and Concord in third with 46 and one first-place pick.
 
FSU opens their 2025 season down south in Wilson, North Carolina in the Barton Tournament where they will face the hosts on Friday, September 5 for a night match at 7 PM.
