Lewis, on Sunday, May 4, at 3:00 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center. Admission is $10 for adults; $5 for seniors, military, and FSU faculty and staff; and free for students and children. They will also be available at the door the evening of the performance. This event will not be livestreamed.The concert will feature music from soundtracks for the epic, blockbuster movies "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith", "Indiana Jones", "Star Trek", and (maybe not epic, but a great animated movie) "How to Train Your Dragon". The program also includes Gandalf and Journey in the Dark from "The Lord of the Rings Symphonic Suite" by Johann de Meij, and will feature a new composition, "Hierophant", by FSU music major, Patrick Godfrey.The FSU Wind Ensemble is the premiere wind concert organization on campus, consisting of a select group of players in a smaller, generally one-on-a-part setting, that presents two concerts a semester. - May 82:00 PMLeaders-in-Residence Series: Lillia Rose, speaking on political leadershipMs. Lillia Rose, Legislative Assistant of Delegate Vogel (Maryland), will speak on political leadership. Rose earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from American University’s School of Public Affairs, where she focused on applied political writing, legislative research, and campaign strategy. Her experience spans local, state, and federal government, including serving as a Legislative Assistant and Staff Correspondent in the Maryland General Assembly for Delegate Joe Vogel, and interning in the Office of Congressman David Trone (MD-06). She also served as Digital Specialist for the April Delaney for Congress campaign, where she managed digital outreach and served as liaison to Garrett County. A passionate advocate for civic engagement and rural Appalachian representation, Rose is the founder of the Mountain Maryland Young Democrats and a member of the Garrett County Democratic Central Committee. In 2024, she was a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention, representing Western Maryland on the national stage. Rose also serves on the Board of the Garrett County Historical Society and previously co-coordinated the Autumn Glory Festival and Maryland State Banjo and Fiddle Tournament, while managing media and outreach for the Town of Oakland. In addition to her civilian work, Rose is a Psychological Operations Sergeant (37F) in the U.S. Army Reserve, currently assigned to the 11th Psychological Operations Battalion. She completed advanced training at the JFK School of Special Warfare and supports her unit as the Public Affairs Representative.

This exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will be on display through Friday, May 16.The student artists are as follows:Alexander Parrott will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art and design, with concentrations in photography and graphic design, and a minor in fine arts. After graduation, Parrott’s goal is to get a job in graphic design while growing his photography business.Ana Lozano will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art and design, with concentrations in illustration graphic design, and a minor in art history. She plans to work for the Disney College Program after graduation and will continue to market her sticker designs.Breann Robison will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art and design, with concentrations in illustration and ceramics, and a minor in art history. After graduation, she will continue freelance work while pursuing a studio career.Brooke Palmer will graduate with a bachelor’s in art and design, with a focus in graphic design and illustration, and a minor in art history. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career as a graphic designer while continuing to work on illustration and animation contractually.Kendall Hooper is a student athlete who will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with focus in photography.
