- 2:00 PM2hVisual Arts: Reception for Senior Showcase Exhibition, “Four Basket Cases”FSU’s Department of Visual Arts Presents Senior Showcase Exhibition, “Four Basket Cases”Frostburg State University’s Department of Visual Arts will present its fall 2024 senior showcase exhibition, “Four Basket Cases,” which will open with a reception on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Stephanie Ann Roper Gallery in FSU’s Fine Arts Building. This exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will be on display through Monday, Dec. 16.James Melchizedek Boyd will graduate from FSU with a bachelor’s in art and design with focus areas in painting and sculpture and a minor in art history. His plan after graduation is to establish his own studio where he will continue to create and showcase his work. Additionally, he is looking forward to participating in local and national art shows, as well as collaborating with other artists in the community.Melody Cherowitzo is graduating from FSU with a bachelor’s in art and design, majoring in graphic design and minoring in art history. After receiving her degree, Cherowitzo plans to find a job in her field, perhaps working for an advertising agency or an activist group.Matthew Goudy will graduate from FSU with a bachelor’s in art and design with focus areas in ceramics and illustration and a minor in art history. His plan after graduation is to pursue his master’s.Hana Nazelrod will graduate from FSU with a bachelor’s in art and design, with focus areas in illustration and ceramics and a minor in art history.
